The Shoe Must Go On!

Plenty of magic - with extra dollops of sparkle and more fun than ever.

 

GTG’s pantomime is more often than not the biggest show we do in the season – audience figures, cast size, production values, all-singing, all-dancing production numbers, audience interaction, funds for the group.  It’s such an important part of the heritage of GTG and integral to our audiences’ Christmas family traditions.

 

CINDERELLA

Yes, the creative and technical team are back together and we can’t wait. We need a strong company of adults and children to sing, dance and act their way through this fresh interpretation of the traditional story, whilst incorporating all the traditional silliness and enchantment.

 

This production will be at Prior’s Field School Theatre – a much smaller space than the BTT - which means different challenges but many advantages!  The audience will be VERY close and will feel they’re almost in the production. And they will!

 

Of course, all the familiar characters will be there plus a few others but the whole company are vital to how this production will be played out. We are open to all-gender casting but have a preference for the ugly sisters to be traditional dames.

Auditions: will be held on Sunday 23rd June at 2pm – 5pm @ Godalming Baptist Church.

We will be holding the auditions in a workshop style, everyone singing, dancing and experimenting with the same piece of text. You will be required from 2pm until 5pm. Anyone wishing to audition, chorus or principle will audition together.
