Why does GTG need Friends?

 

Godalming Theatre Group’s Friends and supporters are vital to its survival. Whilst we work hard to ensure our productions are cost neutral, this is not always possible.  

 

In addition, we have costume/prop storage and general running costs that run into thousands of pounds every year.  Our future, therefore, depends on our ability to attract financial support from those who love community theatre.  

 

By joining our Friends scheme you will be supporting the work of GTG - which also includes training for young people who want to experience performing live theatre.

 

All the details for joining the scheme and paying a monthly or annual subscription are listed below. If you want to find out anything further, please telephone Joy Barnham (a long-standing member of GTG) on 01483 418536.

 

Adult Friend:

 

• Pay a monthly subscription of £10 (minimum) by standing order / or a one-off annual fee of £120

• Receive 2 free tickets for every production in our standard three-production season (runs from October to April)*

• Advance notification of when the box office is about to open, in order to buy the very best seats

• Your name listed in show programmes (please advise us if you do not wish for your name to appear)    

• Personal telephone service - for help with booking tickets or for assistance with any other GTG matter

• When you arrive at the theatre to see a show collect two free programmes from the GTG Friends desk

 

Under 21 Friend: (the above details apply - except for the following)

 

• Pay a monthly subscription of £5 by standing order / or a one-off annual fee of £60

• Receive 1 free ticket for every production in our standard three-production season (runs from October to April)*

 

How to pay: there are three ways of paying your Friends subscription:

 

• Bank standing order  - £120 annually

• Bank standing order  - £10 monthly

• Cheque - £120 annually only

 

 

* If you opt for paying a monthly instead of annual subscription, you need to continue making payments in order to continue receiving your free ticket allocation for each production.
